Cox Utility 21

The Cox Utility 21 is built for the jobs a regular mower can’t get to easily – tight side yards, under trees, along boundary fences. A 21″ (530mm) steel deck and the reliable Kohler XTX775 173cc engine give it the grunt for regular work, without any of the extras that get in the way in tight spaces.

There’s no catcher fitted – this one’s a side-discharge mower, with a metal discharge flap and Cox’s swing-back blade system that folds back out of the way if it clips something hard instead of stalling. Eight cutting heights from 20mm to 50mm keep it dialled in for a tidy finish, and the big 230mm ball-bearing wheels roll easily over uneven ground.

At 28kg it’s light enough to carry, and the upturned handles fold flat for easy storage in the shed or the back of the ute. Recoil start, ready to go.
